Nationals Team Racing

The Australian Optimist Team Racing Championship is nominated and formed by Optimist State Associations or Nations (for countries other than Australia). The maximum number of teams per state / country is at the discretion of the Organising Authority (AIODA) based on competitors at a state level. Each team shall comprise of four or five competitors of which any four may sail in each race.

The team selection for VIODA is entirely at the discretion of the VIODA committee. Selection criteria will be announced in due course.

The 2021 and 2022 Nationals did not include Team Racing due to COVID-19, but we hope that team racing will make a return at the 2023 Nationals in Sydney.
