We are privileged to have Anna Cripsey as one of our legendary coaches, delivering this workshop for VIODA teenagers on Sunday the 21st of July.

The Mental Fitness Program is part of a community partnership between the AIS and Black Dog Institute and is delivered by elite athletes who have been trained to share their experiences with young people to help them recognise the strategies they can implement to help improve mental health and wellbeing for themselves and their friends.
Following this presentation they will:
- Learn the importance of mental fitness
- Recognise how social connection can positively or negatively impact mental fitness
- Identify strategies to build positive social connections with others
- Recognise signs that a friend is/might be struggling with their mental health
- Identify ways to help a friend who might be struggling with their mental health
- Identify steps to start a conversation with a friend you are concerned about
- Identify resources to support their own and others mental health and wellbeing
In the Q and A portion, Anna will also be able to share sailing specific tips she’s learnt from sport psychologists over the years, that have helped her training and racing.

Suitable for high school aged students only.
