THIS IS THE REGISTRATION FOR VIODA GIRLS CAMP 2024 - this is a FREE EVENT for ALL CURRENT VIODA REGISTERED GIRLS only.
Limited Places only - 25 slots available. (Places will open for Ex-Opti Girls from mid August)
This is NOT the registration for the CitySail Regatta. Please register the regatta separately.
VIODA Girls Camp 2024 is back, running parallel with the All Women and Girls Regatta - CitySail!
Date: 7 September, Saturday
Time: 4pm - 10pm ( after end of day 1 CitySail Regatta)
CitySail is an All Women and Girls regatta organised by Albert Park Yacht Club. Registration is separately done. APYC has also notified us that the VIODA girls will have their coaches - Anna Cripsey and Sophie Jackson.
At the end of the first day of the regatta, the VIODA Girls camp will happen at Albert Sailing Club. There will be
- Talk by our guest speaker
- A movie, popcorn, ice cream
- Activities and games
- Giggles, laughter, bonding and the amazing VIODA Girls Camp goodie bag!
Few things to note:
A parent is recommended to join us at the camp or communicate ahead of time with us if you are to leave your child with us during the duration of the camp. Pick up will have to be done by parent unless agreed privately with alternative arrangments.
Parents are recommended to be around to assist your child in rigging and de-rigging of the boats.
If your boat is currently parked at ASC, feel free to leave it after VIODA winter coaching through till the CitySail regatta is over.
How the schedule will look like:
7 Sept -
Morning - Registration and report for CitySail Regatta 2024 ( Please see their NOR - Citysail - Albert Park Yacht Club (apyc.org.au))
4pm - Regatta ends for day 1
VIODA GIRLS CAMP BEGINS!
4.30pm : Check in to ASC, change and get into dry clothes
5.00pm : Meet the Special Guest Speaker, Tour of Australian Sailing Premises
5.40pm : BBQ Dinner at APYC
6.45pm : Activities and Games, Goodie Bag giveaway
7.30pm : Movie, popcorn and ice cream
10pm : Pick up at ASC
