2026 VIODA Coaching Camp 3

Saturday 21 November – Sunday 22 November

9.00am – 4.00pm | Royal Brighton Yacht Club

Two full days of Optimist coaching and racing as we build towards the 2027 Australian Optimist Championship in January and the Victorian Optimist State Championships in March.

Royal Brighton Yacht Club will host the 2027 Australian Optimist Championship, giving sailors a valuable opportunity to train, race and become familiar with the Nationals venue ahead of January.

Coaching Line-Up

• Will McKenzie (MYC) – VIODA Head Coach
• Grace Cockman (SSCBC)
• Jack Lewis (SSCBC)
• Tyrone Gowans (SYC)

Open to Open and Intermediate Fleets only.

Sailors are to be rigged and ready by 9.00am each day, with coaching running through to 4.00pm.

We will also arrange an end-of-day BBQ for sailors after each day’s training.

Cost:  $165 per sailor for the full two-day camp.

Numbers are limited to ensure sailors receive quality on-water coaching and individual attention, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
