The historic Lipton Cup trophy is back for 2024! 

Taking place on 16 & 17 November this year, the Lipton Cup Regatta is a multi-class sailing event hosted by RYCV, which is expected to bring in more than 150 entries this year. Over the weekend, in front of the Club, single and double handed off-the-beach boats will be racing 9 races in three classes. 

On Saturday, South of Williamstown beach, the Measurement Racing keelboats will have three races, while cruising and classic yachts will be starting and finishing a single race off Middle Park beach.

On Sunday, the Measurement Racing keelboats will start off Middle Park beach for a long race around Northern Port Phillip and after them the Cruising and Classics will start a shorter race off St Kilda. 

While the principal trophy will go to the lowest scoring boat in the PHS handicap for Measurement Racing keelboats there will be plenty of prizes for other divisions in the event. Sailors and visitors alike can expect to see strong fleets across a range of junior and senior classes as competitors take to the water, showcasing the great capability the Club has at running major events, as well as the ideal location it is when it comes to off-water festivities.
